FesmData
Processed datasets for ice-sheet and Earth-system models, on the grids of each model domain
FesmData produces datasets for models, such as topography, region masks, geothermal heat flow or surface mass balance, on the grids of each model domain, from the base grid (25 m to 2 km) to 32 km, and on global lon-lat grids. Each is made from the original sources, with every step in the repository, and released on Helmholtz Codebase, one package per domain, dataset and grid, versioned by the release; releases can also be archived on Zenodo with a DOI.
- Datasets: what each dataset contains, its sources and licences, and its files; Records for the non-gridded data.
- Products: which dataset is released on which domain.
- Domains and grids: the model domains, their grids and grid files.
- Download: how to get the files.
- Your own data: put any gridded dataset onto the same grids.
Getting started
With Julia installed (no packages needed):
git clone https://github.com/fesmc/FesmData.git
cd FesmData
export FESMDATA=/path/to/fesmdata # the files go to $FESMDATA/products
julia fesmdata.jl list Topo # where Topo is released
julia fesmdata.jl fetch Topo ANT-8KM # Topo on the 8 km grid of AntarcticaThe files land in $FESMDATA/products/Antarctica/ANT-8KM/, with the grid files. See Download for the details.
